Open Show – Smooth Coat

Thank you to the Officials and Committee for the invitation to judge this well run and friendly Open Show, I thoroughly enjoyed my day.  I had two excellent stewards, Jenny and Rose, thank you for all your help and assistance in the ring and keeping things moving.  
Veteran Dog (Entries 0, Absentees 0)
Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)
1st Holland’s Kirdanchi Living the Dream – 6 month old baby who had a lovely overall compact shape.  Large round dark eyes, good dome in his skull with a moderate muzzle.  Nicely arched neck and good bone. He was a little bit unsettled on the table but nothing seemed to phase him when he was moving round the ring with nice reach and drive.
Puppy Dog (2,0)
1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Mr Black  - what a little character this 9 month old is.  He has such an endearing expression with dark round eyes, a lovely short muzzle and excellent earset.  He excels in his overall shape and size with a nicely arched neck, well laid back shoulders and developed forechest for his age.  Excellent topline and tailset and moved round the ring wich a saucy look at me attitude and driving from his well angulated hind quarters.  Though he was quite special and couldn’t deny him Bes Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Breed and was delighted to see him go on and win Best Puppy in Show, will watch his career with interest.
2nd Hunt’s Moltobello My Time to Shine – 11 month old who is a lovely little showman and never stopped wagging the whole time he was in the ring.  Attractive head with a nice dome,  large dark and well set eyes.  Good shoulder placement, well bent stifle and let down hocks.  Moved with drive and presence.

 Junior Dog (3,1)
1st  Daly’s Lozmarchi Cage Au Laid Chi Del Mar (Imp Spa) – black and cream who had a nice head and expression, good earset and nice dome to his head.  Nicely arched neck and good shoulders, well boned for his size, nicely developed forechest.  Small and dainty feet with strong pastern. Moved steadily at all times with a nice brisk action keeping a good tail carriage.
2nd Hunt’s Diamonchi Button Moon for Moltobello – saucy expression with good dark nose and eye pigment and large flaring ears.  Nicely arched neck and level topline,  Good bone and lovely shoulder placement.  Good brisk movement.
Novice Dog (2,0)
1st Humphreys’ Amarantos Paskal – 13 month old who was slightly smaller in stature but a quality boy with a lovely overall shape and ample bone.  Round dark eyes that were set well apart and a pleasing expression with a nice muzzle and good flat cheeks.  Level topline and good tailset, moved round the ring with purpose from his good front and rear angulation and keeping a stylish outline.
2nd Massey’s Chibull True Miracle – well schooled 23 month who has a nice neck and shoulders, well developed forechest and level topline and nicely set on tail, moved out well using his nice hind angulation and well let down hocks.
Graduate Dog (3,0)
1st Olive’s Moltobello Ringleader at Oozora -  11 month old boy who I found quite impressive when going over on the table, he has a lovely demeanour to him and a very attractive head with large well set dark eyes.  Good head proportions with well set and flaring ears.  Nicely arched neck and good shoulder placement and well developed forechest.  Level topline and tailset and well muscled hind quarters.  He has a nice outline that he keeps both standing and on the move.  With maturity he will be knocking on the door for top honours and was close up to the winners.

Limit Dog (3,1)
1st Hartley & Fahey’s Zoomeera Hot Cargo  -  2 year old boy who has the most attractive head with large dark eyes and excellent earset with a well domed skull.  Moderate slightly arched neck and excellent shoulder placement.  He has a very well balanced body with a lovely spring of rib, well muscled hindquarters that gave him a lovely free flowing action round the ring keeping his level topline and excellent tailset.  Well let down hocks that he used to advantage as he moved true both coming and going.  A nice quality boy who I was delighted to award Reserve Best Dog.
2nd D. Button Moon for Moltobello  -  See Junior
Open Dog (2,0)
1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Mister Moon JW ShCM – What a little star this boy was, 2 ½ year old who has the most stunning size and shape.  Lovely alert expression with a with a well-rounded skull, with nice lean cheeks and short muzzle.  Dark expressive eyes and large flaring ears that are well set.  Moderately arched neck set on a lovely body with an excellent spring of rib, he excels in his lovely topline and tailset that present the most eye-catching outline and balanced outline and has everything in correct proportions.  His movement was exemplar as he propels round the ring with the best reach and drive of the day using his well-developed hind quarters.  I found him quite enchanting and couldn’t deny him Best Dog and Best of Breed and was delighted to watch him go Best in Show.  It was no shock to find out afterwards that he was made up the weekend before – congratulations.
2nd Hartley & Fahey’s Boetandales Little River Through Zoomeera – 4 year old boy who has a pleasing head and expression with good nose and eye pigment.  Good bone and nice angles fore and aft. Good general size and shape and moved round the ring well.
Veteran Bitch (1,0)
1st Hartley & Fahey’s Zoomera Indy’s Angel JW -  7 year old who was enjoying her time in the ring.  Lovely small compact with such an endearing character. Apple dome head with correct muzzle and nice dark nose and eye pigment and well set ears that make for a very pretty expression. She moved with drive round the ring keeping a level topline and good tailset. Best Veteran in Breed.
Minor Puppy Bitch (3,1)
1st Holland’s Kirdanchi Sweet Dreams -  Raw 6 month old baby, friendly and happy. Good mouth and nice flaring ears and large eyes.  She is nice balance and good bone for her size, good tail set and carriage. She needs to settle on the move.
2nd Wilcox’s Amtula All That Jazz – 6 month old tri who has a lovely expression and good earset and apple dome.  She moved well round the ring keeping a pleasing outline.  Just preferred the overall size of the winner.

Puppy Bitch (3,0)
1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Last One Standing – this girl when standing screams quality, she has the loveliest of heads and expressions with dark nose and eye pigment and well set and flared ears.  Gently arched neck and excellent shoulder placement, level topline and tailset.  Whilst standing she presents an excellent profile with an excellent topline and tailset.  Sadly, she wasn’t the happiest on the move today and I am sure when she gets it together she will be tough to beat. Best Puppy Bitch
2nd Hunt’s Moltobello a Star Is Born - apple dome head on arch of neck and well laid-back shoulders. Correct dentition. Excellent bone for her size and moved well round the ring.  Just preferred the shape of the winner whilst standing.

Junior Bitch (2,1)
1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Little Miss Star – 14 month old Small compact bitch. Beautiful apple dome head with the sweetest of expressions. Large flaring ears and large dark eyes. Lovely arch of neck on a level topline. Well sprung ribs. Lovely to go over. Moved round the ring with a lovely attitude keeping a nice outline with a level topline and tailset.

1st M. A Star is Born – See Puppy
2nd Daly’s Lemaritz Touch of Class at Lozmarchi  -  20 month old bitch who is a pleasing size and shape with apple dome head framed with large ears which she could have used more.  Moved well, with plenty of drive and held a level top-line.
Post Graduate Bitch (2,1)
1st Wilcox’s Bramerita Talulah Truffle  -  Stood alone but a worthy 1st. Lovely black pigmentation on an apple dome head, with correct ears and correct length of muzzle and pleasing expression. She presents a lovely picture standing and has a lovely topline and tailset that she kept at all times.
Limit Bitch (4,1)
1st Hunt’s Moltobello Queen of My Heart – 2 ½ year old bitch who has a lovely overall shape and well balanced with ample bone, very alert both standing and on the move, nice level topline and well set tail,  nicely domed skull and dense nose and eye pigment.  Moved steadily round the ring using her well developed hindquarters and keeping her well balanced outline.  I found her quite enchanting and was delighted to award her Reserve Best Bitch
2nd Holland-Smith’s Diamonchi Shine Like a Star – pleasing head and expression with good dome and excellent earset and nice dark nose and eye pigment.  She is a lovely happy disposition and has an overall well balanced outline and moved well round the ring.
3rd Hunt’s Valenchino Game of Thrones for Moltobello
Open Bitch (4,2)
1st Humphreys’ Amarantos Cassini JW –  2 ½ year old cream bitch excels in profile, lovely shape and balance, with good set on of tail, reach of neck onto level topline and good angulation both front and rear and ample bone for size.  Nice head and expression with a lovely apple dome and good cheeks and muzzle. She presents a lovely balanced picture both standing and she moves out like a train round the ring using her well muscled hind quarters. She is so attentive to her handler and I couldn’t take my eyes of her both in the class and the line up.  Was delighted to award her Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex and thrilled when she won Reserve Best In Show.
2nd Hunt’s Zoya’s Kingdom Never Fails for Moltobello – 2 ½ year old who was another lovely bitch who was build on similar lines to the winner. She has a pleasing head and expression with a good dark nose and eye pigment and large flaring ears.  Her movement was true and she has lovely neck shoulders and a cobby body with well sprung ribs.  Two nice bitches who I am sure will change places on other days.
